His graduation as a Doctor of Veterinary medicine on May 18th, 1980 coincided with the eruption of Mount St. Helens. Two monumental events.

After graduation, Dr. O'Donnell wrote a letter to every veterinarian along the southern Oregon coast. He wanted to practice veterinary medicine by the ocean. His efforts led him to Coos Bay. He and his wife and business partner Karen, have called Oregon home since 1980. Together they have three children, Eddie, Nicolette, and Caitlin.

Dr. O'Donnell founded the Mobile Animal Hospital in 1982. At the turn of the century, Dr. O'Donnell limited his veterinary practice to small animals. Dr. O'Donnell loves practicing Veterinary Medicine.
